Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Damen+Hastings needed a captivating lookbook to attract a new, younger generation z demographic for their limited edition collection. Introducing its first ever interactive lookbook, featuring an array of visuals, merged with a combined and unique shopping experience that viewers can see, learn and explore from their most convenient device.
Damen+Hastings features a very simple palette, with universal font treatments for a more inclusive and optimized experience.
With that, the brand features a more layered aesthetic to visuals and typographic treatments, maximizing viewings of its hand-crafted leather goods.
Ultimately, the experience functions as a landing page, a single layered approach that allows the viewer to seamlessly scroll through the experience without the additional loading time.
The presentation features a shopping experience within in order to maintain viewer engagement within the same experience. Every photograph adds an additional layer of information, whether it be an article, more information on a product, or sharing with social media.
With an interesting consideration of human centered-design, the Damen+Hastings Lookbook experience is a recipient of the American Graphic Design Awards for 2020 from GDUSA Magazine.
